This was not the first time I had been asked to supply a picture for a memorial service, but it was the most poignant. I took this on December 19th, and Jarrod was gone January 31st. Hit a patch of ice on his motorcycle on Belmont Boulevard in the wee hours of the morning.
I often get strong intuitions about people I shoot. It was in Fido, and I felt here was an incredibly earnest and humble fellow, whose real focus was helping others. Sure ’nuff, that’s what his friends said. Life is not fair.
